Great offers seem to come&go on h/ware-£60 for a 10" Windows tab in Tesco other day. But how to get a steady supply of good value equipment?

Have you spoken to Dave Williams at Happus? http://happus.eu/

I haven't the onsite prices don't really look like where we're aiming? :(
Looking for near-disposable kit as a step on ladder (c.£60 with a larger screen).

I am meeting Dave on Monday. I'll ask him if he has any ideas in this area. It seems to me that there are quite a few cheap options in 7 inch tablets but bigger ones tend to be more expensive. I have a great (for the price) 7 inch Linx Windows tablet that my kids bought me for £40 for my birthday. I wouldn't recommend it for digital inclusion purposes though as I have to keep switching from apps to browser-based functions as there are not enough apps in the Windows Store. I still think Android is the way to go in that respect

Cheers. I can see the tablets I'm looking at on amazon at the price I need and with 9/10" screen, it's just you can't get em supplied as a business!

Can you send me links? Either on here or DM on Twitter?

I've found 2 companies we can deal with direct, but neither do business on account, which does a little pause for thought.

Time2 are one, here's the other (others are available but only take contact by email so may just be/be more likely to be drop-shippers)

OK. I'll see if there is anything that can be done. That tablet looks very impressive for the price if it is as described. Do you know anyone who's tried one? There are some wildly differing reviews on there

There are quite a few tablets that are close kin (and in cost), if not just branded twins on amazon, many with overall good reviews from quite a large number of reviewers.

...i thought might be able to get somewhere through Halton HT and the Open Digital offer but was a dead end as they didn't develop their initial tango with Ubislates and only have their own O2-partnered offer that isn't the right fit for our needs, good though it may be.
