where social housing providers meet to help their residents embrace the web

We're looking to loan out 4G enabled Android devices for 3-5 weeks in conjunction with basic digital training to encourage residents to use online services.  What we can't find is the same methodology on Android OS as is available on iOS devices for reimaging the devices between loans.  We want to stick with Android, because they are likely to be more in line with the budgets of our residents.

Anyone out there loaning Android devices with recommendations of MDM and imaging software?

You can use Google for Non-Profits for the MDM (free/cost of a domain if you need one). As for imaging, I'm not sure what it is you want to image? If for cleaning up the tablet between loans, I'd suggest just setting up your admin account on each tablet (password protected) and then adding the borrower as an additional user - you can then just delete that user after the loan. This is a good idea for a number of other reasons anyway, including not being locked out of your own tablet. You will need to check that the tablet model in question supports multiple users as not not all do, even though it has been a feature of stock Android since KitKat.
