Profile Information

Name of organisation
Resinet (part of the Vela Group)
Type of organisation
Social housing provider

I am a Digital Inclusion Apprentice.

It's my job to get as many of our social housing residents online as possible. We are doing this by installing multi purpose Kiosks into some of our high rise flats and local offices that residents can pop into.

The kiosks have links to almost everything you could need on the internet, and because the residents only have to click a link, it is very quick and easy to use.

We are also assigning and training 60 Digital Champions to help within their local community, offering support to their friends and family and helping them get online.

We are calling our residents and offering them free IT training, in a one-on-one setting and at their own pace. This way they get our undivided attention and they learn what they want to learn and what is relevant to them.

Please don't hesitate to get intouch if you need help getting online or if you want more information about our services.

Thankyou

Madelaine Bass
