Who has the most enthusiastic and committed staff?
Well here are a couple of contenders - Magenta Living, one of the Digital Deal projects was able to employ two Digital Inclusion Promotional Assistants thanks to the Digital Deal. The key quality they were looking for was enthusiasm.
When Magenta asked Tom and Jenny to write a blog on their first month with them, I think you will agree their enthusiasm comes shining through:
Here's what Tom…

Hi Ben
Thanks for the invite, I look forward to getting to know yourself and other members as our organization learn to adapt digital inclusion in to our work over the coming months. We will be in touch very soon with a clearer idea of ways in which we can get involved. Meanwhile if anyone has any questions or ideas or suggestions for Origin Housing please let us know.. http://www.originhousing.org.uk/
Kind regards Trevor
Hi Ben
Thanks for the welcome. I expect for the time being at least, I'll mainly be a 'lurker' as I've joined to learn more about what Housing Associations and other bodies will ultimately expect from their suppliers when implementing digital inclusion within their schemes (those suppliers may be my clients). I'm looking forward to learning others' opinions and experience in this area to broaden my own knowledge so I can advise my own clients properly with sound information. I hope that's appropriate and possibly even welcomed? (the aim being to ensure potential suppliers understand the specialised requirements of housing associations and their customers, in order to provide a quality service).
Thanks
Lyndsey
Hi Ben, I'm unlikely to be more than a lurker on here... was invited by Jane Hilditch with whom as premium advice we are in talks about broadband solutions for housing providers. I'm also a blogger for giffgaff the mvno.
regards
matt
Thanks for the welcome Ben, I'm bimbling around the site to see what's here right now. Looks good. Can't put a photo on though, even though .gif format and pretty low res. Any issues there? Maybe there's an ugly filter.
Hi Ben,
I do apologise, I only just noticed your comment.
I believe we have spoken since then!
Hope you are well.
Kind Regards,
Jennifer.
Ben,
Is Helen still offering to talk for free to the boards of housing organisation about the opportunities of (and impact of) Digital by Default?
It is just we have a board meeting scheduled for the 29th June and we are about to embark on the purchase of a new IT system so now seems like it might be a good time to get the board thinking about on-line services.
The agenda for the day is not finalised yet and we would have to get the chairman of the board to agree to your visit, but if you are free it would be great if you could get her to pencil the date in her diary.
Morning Ben. The Corporation of London (the cities housing provider) is holding an Information Advice and Advocacy Forum on 31st May from 14:00 - 16:00 and we are looking for some guest speakers on DI. I sent you an email as well through the hub. Hope your well.

thanks Ben ... some great stuff here ... also interesting to know about the work Helen is doing with her workshops on Digital By Default ... might be interesting to talk about that work to the BBC at the moment ...
Thanks for this Ben!
The application is from Trent and Dove Housing - a social Housing provider. As their Training provider, ESCVS is part of their consortium.
I am working with Tes Ludlow (Trent & Dove) to complete the online application. As a UK online Centre, ESCVS has a log in to the UK Online Centres site and that is how we have got in to complete the application.
I am assuming this is ok? Aaagh if not!
Kind regards

Good morning Ben, would you like to be involved with the welfare reform pilot about to be deployed in Northumberland? Space for logo's, advertising websites? Costs yet 100% of it goes to running it.
