“Following an inspiring presentation from Helen Milner at our staff conference in 2013, everyone at Raven Housing Trust felt galvanised to really start making inroads into getting more of our residents online, knowing the benefits they would reap if we did. Raven is now a UK Online Centre, has a full-time digital inclusion officer and several volunteer digital champions – but most importantly, has a growing population of local people who now have the skills and motivation to use computers and the internet, helping tackle a range of issues from social isolation to financial inclusion. Social housing providers, I would say, would do well to progress their digital inclusion work through working with the Tinder Foundation – and really make a difference to people’s lives.”
