In the run up to our Sheffield Digital Inclusion Network event, we are sharing what we have been up to. We will able to learn from others success, share barriers and solutions and maybe even link up our work.
To get the ball rolling, heres a sample of what we have been up to at SYHA. Its early days for us, so we look forward to learning from others!
Pictures speak a thousand words- here's an exerpt from our up coming news letter
And a video speaks even more ;-)
Like the idea of i-Tea & Cakes - we held something similar recently for Spring Online Week, a 'Digital Tea Party' at Barnsley Town Hall hosted by the Mayor - it was a great success! We even had members of a local TARA hosting a 'Tweet Station'...
We've also got an article in the latest edition of our Open House magazine on digital inclusion (page 16) including our new 'Kiosks' for sheltered housing schemes
This is what the homepage of our Kiosks looks like to tenants (including link to Learn My Way).
We're now running several courses covering the Online Basics modules with lots more courses booked in for this summer in centres where we now have Kiosks
Good point made by John - wonder if we should include some of the videos at the event about how it's made a difference - there was a great clip about health improvement from using online tools and resources!
I've also attached a flyer we are using to promote one of our projects - known fondly internally as the Digital Boost Project!
And here's a Digital Tea Party we did in Leeds:
