There was a lot of really interesting talk about best practice today and how we need to do different things to meet the needs of different groups. This template provides a bit of structure for sharing what we have learnt.

I thought today's meeting was good. Conversations about the purpose for the network were a start in helping us to work out our role. Interesting thoughts about positive approaches and the reasons why people become interested in acquiring new skills. Attached is a recent report for Age UK London including on p16-19 a good summary of the obstacles faced by older people and the drivers for getting online. Hope you find this interesting.idbb2954%20london%20older%20londoners%27%20digital%20inclusion%20re...

Thanks Iain- our fifth member!!!

Some of the names that we thought about for our group were:

  • Get On Board
  • Rotherham Better Connected
  • Getting People Online

Any more ideas on a name?

Steve

Suggest we might think of a name and a strap line. So it could be something like:

"CONNECT ROTHERHAM: making the most of life by being online"  or

"ACCESS ROTHERHAM": helping you to make the most of being online"

Needs more thought

Good idea - the strap line explains that it is about getting people online.

Interesting discussion at the Rotherham Digital Inclusion Network meeting 30/06/14 - I look forward to picking up on some of the opportunities arising to network further and share awareness of RMBC's Your Account service
